The world famous tourism heritage site, the Vallée de Mai, home of the coco de mer and the unique black parrot, and also the Anse Lazio beach considered to be one of the best in the world, are within 4 kms from Le Duc de Praslin.

From the hotel one can arrange excursions by boat which leave from the beach to the Bird nature reserve island of Cousin and Aride, snorkeling island of St Pierre, and giant tortoise island of Curieuse and other surrounding islands.
